Reiss Jones – Fight Hub, Tamworth

I started training Thai boxing when I was 12 years old in 2006 up until I was 17, I started BJJ as I wanted to get into MMA when I was 16. I went to my first BJJ session in 2010 and was hooked immediately, I trained at many clubs including BJJ Tamworth, Combat and Exercise Nuneaton and Renegade BJJ, I started competing in BJJ in 2011 and have competed at least 30 times, I’ve medalled at the British championships Gi and NoGi 4 times and also won UMA British championships at a juvenile level.

I was awarded my BJJ blue belt by Braulio Estima in 2012 and carried on the trend of competing. In 2013 I started training at the Fight Hub and eventually took over coaching the BJJ and then the MMA. I have fought in BJJ, NoGi, Combat Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and MMA. I currently run the BJJ at the fight hub under the instruction of Dave Briggs and have many members of our team compete and do well in different competitions.

I look at continuing my journey in martial arts and aspire to fight and compete in BJJ, MMA and possibly Muay Thai in 2016 onwards.
